Reflexology
is a therapeutic modality based on the principle that the feet and hands have
reflex areas that correspond to all the organs, glands and parts of the body.
HOW CAN I BENEFIT?
Reflexology
brings the body back into balance by restoring it to its natural state of
well-being, with harmony between the flow of energy, circulation, and muscle
tension.It works the reflexes to the internal organs and glands, resulting in stimulation and balance.
HOW IS THIS ACCOMPLISHED?
The
Reflexologist uses pressure, movement and stretching to stimulate reflex points
in the feet and/or hands.Reflexology acts on parts of the body by stimulating the corresponding reflexes with compression techniques applied with the fingers.
Where there is inhibited functioning or disease, we find congestion in the form of deposits that have not been cleared away by the venous circulation and the lymph.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM A SESSION?
A
brief medical and personal history will be taken to assist the Reflexologist
in assessing treatment.The client will recline in a reflexology chair for total relaxation.
It is a fully-clothed session with only socks and shoes removed as a requirement.
The reflexologist will systematically stimulate and manipulate reflex areas in the feet and/or hands as necessary.
There are no lotions or oils used during the treatment.
If desired, lotion is applied afterward for the ultimate "aaahhh" experience.
ARE THERE ANY AGE OR PHYSICAL LIMITATIONS?
Reflexology
is suitable for all ages and may bring relief from a wide range of acute or
chronic conditions.After you have received a treatment, it may be beneficial to continue with regular sessions in order to maintain health and well-being as the body integrates improved functioning.
It should be noted that reflexology is a complementary modality of integrative medicine.
IS REFLEXOLOGY NEW?
The
earliest known evidence of treatment of the hand and feet pressure points
dates back thousands of years to 2500-2300 B.C. to a wall painting in an Egyptian
pyramid.In ancient China, the feet were worked in conjunction with acupuncture.
Foot treatment was also practiced in India and Indonesia, and among Native Americans who hold a central belief that our feet are our connection with the earth and the earth's energies.

- Wellness Maintenance Packages (3–5 sessions)
- Home Visits (available in and around Crystal Lake with an increased rate)
WHAT ARE THE PRICES? Deborah offers the following pricing structure:
- $60 per 1-Hour Session
- $165 per 3-Session Package
- $275 per 5-Session Package
